How to vote:
You can vote in three ways:

At a polling station.

By post.

Voting by proxy/Asking someone else to vote for you.
Who allowed to vote:

Be registered to vote.

Be 18 years old or over on the day of the election. (For most elections in the United Kingdom.)

Be a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen.

Be resident at an address in the UK.
-
Be a British citizen living aboard who has been registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years. (Only for general elections and referendums.)
-
Not be legally excluded from voting.
*Some elections in the UK have different rules then the overall rules for any elections in the UK.
